Padua, known as the ‘City of the Three Witches’, is a place rich in history, art and culture, easily reached by car or public transport from the Riviera del Brenta in about 30 minutes.
The city is a true jewel of the Veneto region, with a lively historical centre full of monuments, including the aforementioned Basilica of St. Anthony, the Scrovegni Chapel frescoed by Giotto, and the Palazzo della Ragione. Padua is also a renowned university city, home to one of the oldest universities in Europe.
