History of the colonnade of Villa Corner Smania

A timeless scene that retains all its original charm.

The barchessa of Villa Corner, Vendramin Zucconi, later Smania, was built in the 17th century as an annex to the adjoining Villa Barbarigo Fontana. In the second half of the 18th century, it was acquired by the Villa Corner Vendramin property and united with it.

Originally used as a cellar and granary to serve the agricultural land behind, it represents a typical example of a Veneto barchessa with its characteristic porticoed structure with round arches, half-pillars, stringcourses and ogival windows.

The building has recently been renovated, respecting its original stylistic and architectural features and harmonising them with a touch of modernity and elegance. The result is a perfect blend of past and present, giving the hotel a unique charm, making it an authentic jewel of the Riviera del Brenta.
